Meanwhile, Sweden refuses to provide any Gripen aircraft that would significantly aid in Ukrainian air defense, and no other NATO country aside from the USA has stockpiles of materiel and weapons systems sufficient to meet current needs. Indeed, estimates are that NATO could only fight the kind of high-intensity war seen in Ukraine for 72 hours before fatally depleting stocks of munitions. In other words, while the Russian military is a joke, European contributions to NATO are below even the most minimal levels required for even a small local conflict. And there's no sign of any European NATO country doing anything to remedy this appalling situation in the foreseeable future.
