Indeed, estimates are that NATO could only fight the kind of high-intensity war seen in Ukraine for 72 hours before fatally depleting stocks of munitions. In other words, while the Russian military is a joke, European contributions to NATO are below even the most minimal levels required for even a small local conflict. And there's no sign of any European NATO country doing anything to remedy this appalling situation in the foreseeable future.
