More than sixty years on this lovely planet of ours has led me to draw a few conclusions. The first is obvious: the more average a person is, the easier life is for them because average is the majority and thus is most catered to. When you don't have any particular drive, interests, or ambitions it's easy to find thousands of people who are just the same, and more or less any one of them will do as a partner. But when you're at the far end of the Gaussian distribution of intelligence, drive, etc. you're looking at a very tiny cohort. In the end, it's not really down to gender or business title or even income: it's down to the harsh facts of statistics. Those who excel aren't going to find many who are long-term comfortable with that level of excellence so you're dating in a very small pool.
