Most people's sexual lives die of starvation for a couple of simple reasons. The first is arguments. Most people end up behaving like four-year-olds, throwing insults and endless ad hominem attacks. Difficult to feel desire for someone after that. The second is that few people prioritize intimacy. Everything else comes first: talking about work, complaining about work, watching mindless entertainments on a shiny screen, dulling the ache of disappointment with alcohol, and so forth.

Hardly surprising that at best most people's sexual lives are disappointing.
