Musk is your classic late 19th century huckster, peddling snake oil to the endlessly credulous. His tech ventures are at best pale echoes of his initial promises and at worst totally pointless because they are non-solutions to problems better solved in much simpler ways. Neuralink is a preposterous sham, appealing to people who've spent too much time reading or watching cheap sci-fi and no time at all studying real science. It's apparent why Musk enthusiasts are so eager for artificial intelligence: they have an extreme deficit of the natural sort.
