We all know the classic story: remorseful people who’ve eaten and drunk far too much over the holidays promise themselves they’ll adopt better habits in the year to come. Earnestly they make their resolutions, fully intending to carry them out. And then, a few weeks later, those resolutions have evaporated and no discernable change has been effected.
