Not only does Hollywood simply repackage old material in terms of storyline when it uses the gender-swap routine but it also repackages character too. After all, what are these supposedly “female” leads but gender-swapped 80s action heroes? The “feisty girl” motif that reappears with tedious predictability in so many Hollywood movies & TV shows is merely Rambo in a skirt, less muscular but embued with no greater personality nor intellect.

This is hardly progressive, and it shows how easily people can be fooled that so many laud this absurd charade as “woke.”
