Unsubstantiated claims, reliance on vague concepts (what, exactly, is "emotional intelligence" anyway?), and an assumption of "case proven" instead of any attempt to make a credible case all fatally undermine this article. It's just a tedious rant, rather than a useful opinion-piece. There is something to be said about how contemporary society is overly influenced by nonsense promulgated by the Internet, but unfortunately this article is an example of the nonsense, not a critique of it.
