People regularly misunderstand AI because we're tricked by implicit assumptions built into our brains. But, just because it quacks like a duck does not mean it is a duck. There is zero chance of AI taking over the world - anyone with even a rudimentary knowledge of computing knows the reasons why this is 100% the case. Only silly Hollywood movies that have zero basis in reality can play that particular game.
