Personally I adore the concept of "cultural appropriation" because it sums up the intellectual incapacity of ordinary human beings. The concept is so incoherent and downright stupid as to be entirely risible - its only value.

No culture anywhere, at any time, has ever come into existence sui generis. All cultures emerge from preceding cultures and interact with cultures around them. Thus all cultures are a constantly-changing blend of influences. This therefore means that the mindless notion of "cultural appropriation" is based on ignorance and an inability to grasp the obvious. As such, aside from it providing some unintentional moments of black humor, it can be entirely ignored and consigned to the same garbage pail into which all stupid pointless ideas ultimately are deposited.
