What’s a dictator to do when his military forces are clearly third-rate?

As the war in Ukraine moves into its third month, NATO members are slowly recovering from their premature defeatism and spinelessness, albeit at a glacial pace and still always doing too little, too late. The West, which regarded Russia’s military as a near-peer force, now sees that in reality Russian forces are poorly equipped, poorly led, and poorly organized. Far from being a threat, Russia’s military is now a global joke.

Although Russian forces still have the capacity to destroy Ukrainian towns and cities, and its although its army continues to rape, mutilate, and kill unarmed civilians, the hard fact for Russia’s sad little dictator is that he’s now no longer one of the most feared men on the planet. He’s literally a sick joke, an out-of-touch tyrant whose ineptitude is on display for all to see. Putin, it turns out, is more like the retard Trump than the supposedly cunning genius who continually wrong-footed naïve Western politicians for two decades.

It’s now clear that if Russian forces attempted to engage with NATO, the result would be devastating. Even NATO’s pathetically inadequate forces and insufficient supplies of materiel would plainly exterminate the clumsy antiquated Russian military in short order. While Russia has numbers on…
