Sadly, it is the West that is fragmenting thanks to representative democracy enabling mindless populism (an oxymoron, I know...) to flourish. It's astonishing that the West, with all its resources, should crumble in the face of a third-rate nation like Russia and its very limited little dictator. The fact we can't even face up to Russia shows how impotent we truly are.
