Sadly, it's too late for Ukraine. Persistent Western stupidity and cowardice has meant that the small amounts of equipment provided to Ukraine have always been far too little, far too late. Our mindless fear of Russian "escalation" has ensured another 1930s scenario, proving that our "leaders" are just as ignorant and empty-headed as the people who vote them into power. Russia will ultimately take over Ukraine and then the EU will have a highly belligerent neighbor waiting to pounce on its weaker members. The USA, meanwhile, is collapsing into total dysfunction that may well end in a second civil war.

All in all, representative democracy is clearly unfit for purpose and it's long past time we began to consider what better approaches to governance could be implemented.
