Thanks Kaki. It should be noted, however, that obesity (which was formerly unknown in Japan) has established itself in no small part thanks to US fast-food outlets and the toxic slop they sell. The lethal combination of fat-salt-sugar triggers key behavioral responses leading to addiction, while simultaneously providing little in the way of nutrition; thus eating ever-more becomes a habit. As a result the USA is the first culture in human history where people can be simultaneously obese and suffering from nutritional deficiency diseases. Let's hope the Japanese work out that McSlop and healthy societies are entirely incompatible, and shut down all US fast-food franchises before it's too late.
