Thanks Maria for a good article. If you write a follow-up, perhaps explaining why a 90% positive doesn't mean 90% probability. More importantly, the fact that doctors are actually pretty clueless about many things (not just stats) points to the importance of ordinary people educating themselves on matters of importance. The world is too complex for us to be able to assume that others, regardless of their profession, are keeping up.
