Thanks Micah for a useful article. Many years ago when I was a CIO in a mixed-OS environment we found that while Apple products comprised only 30% of the user base they were responsible for 72% of the problems we had to deal with. But Apple devotees resolutely refused to believe their devices were in any way to blame for the problems they kept experiencing, because Apple’s marketing strategy is focused on creating believers whose emotional attachment to Apple products has nothing whatsoever to do with real-world factors. Thus it’s probable that even though your article is detailed and coherent, few of those who worship within the Cult Of Apple will be able to acknowledge the facts you cite, let alone act on them.
