Why the self-proclaimed “pro life” movement is really all about Pro Control

Texas has just turned itself into a medieval theocracy and the US Supreme Court, packed with far-right judges appointed by the Bush and Trump administrations, has given the lone star State a free pass. This development was, in reality, always inevitable because women’s rights over their reproductive state has never been regularized in the USA. Roe versus Wade was a shaky judicial decision rather than legislation passed by the Congress and as such was always vulnerable to being overturned by far-right centers of power. And the reason Roe versus Wade was never encapsulated in legislation is because the USA has always been a dysfunctional nation; that dysfunction is simply now more evident to more people than was hitherto the case.

So today, far-right politicians are moving to eliminate a woman’s right to determine what happens to her own body by eviscerating Roe versus Wade.

The self-proclaimed “pro-life” movement likes to pretend that they are on the side of protecting innocent unborn babies. They use crude propaganda to cloak themselves in the garb of righteousness. The fact their position is intellectually incoherent and morally void is irrelevant, because most people aren’t capable of seeing past the surface of things. And…
