The adorable thing about democracy is that it enables people like Trump and so many of his GoP enablers to achieve power that in a well-ordered world would be forever beyond them. In what other system of government would a pathological liar, a serial bankrupt, a low-IQ ignorant blusterer, be permitted to do more than mis-manage a hot-dog stand? No wonder we all believe representative democracy is the ne plus ultra.
