The argument about "individual rights" is entirely the wrong basis upon which to argue about vaccine mandates. Unfortunately, it appears no one is capable of looking at SARS-CoV2 without seeing the issue through one of two distorting lenses. Either one imagines the issue is about "personal freedom" or one thinks the entire world will die unless extreme (and self-defeating) measures are imposed.
In reality, the issue is quite different: the magnitude of the threat, despite endless media sensationalism, is insufficient to justify the costs resulting from precipitous government restrictions. But no one is talking about this because we are supposed to cram ourselves into two equally brain-dead narratives. Thus no one is learning anything at all from the last two years.
