The difference between science and nonsense is that science studies phenomenon and seeks the underlying mechanisms. Nonsense is happy to posit all manner of magical ideas, weave them into a few wordy pseudo-scientific babbles, and pretend they are "open minded." As we can account for everything the body does by means of physical description, and as there is an enormous corpus of knowledge regarding the ways in which physical changes to the brain alter things like personality, it's clear that specious babble about "souls" and "duality" is nothing more than the same tired old simple-minded nonsense that originally arose because people knew nothing about reality. Today it's dressed in the garb of science but it's still just magical thinking and empty noise. Furthermore, there is never any concept of proof-tests in such babble, which automatically rules it out as meaningful.
