The irony is that what we imagine to be "normal" is in fact totally dysfunctional. Only we humans would think that draining ourselves by getting up early to get stressed by commuting to a cubicle where we'll breath in an air conditioned atmosphere while pretending to be busy on pointless tasks and then stressfully commuting home exhausted is a sane way to exist. As many freelancers have learned, people are far more productive when permitted to be flexible and live lives that aren't dominated by stupid rituals that actually serve no functional purpose whatsoever.
