The most revealing aspect of this whole sorry tale is the readiness of the US military to perform criminal acts against its own citizens. Today we see precisely the same thing with the thugs from the wildly mis-named Homeland Security. There is never a shortage of mindless government drones "just doing what we were told" to ensure that state-sponsored violence remains part of the political repertoire.
