The other change is that one can move from generic junk (packaged cookies, etc.) at the wrong time to hand-made foods at the right time. Rather than junk before bedtime, which is obesity-inducing, a freshly baked croissant or brioche with morning tea or coffee is far more pleasurable and the calories can fuel activity throughout the morning rather than going to lard one's arteries, organs, and waist while one sleeps.
