How both Left and Right embrace a highly toxic concept
Somehow, over the last couple of decades it has become not merely fashionable to be a victim but essential in order to further one’s agenda. Fat white male dullards tell the world they’re victims of hyper-aggressive feminism and of nefarious plots to replace them with people of other skin colors and orientations. Neurotic shrieking lefty-trendies, meanwhile, embrace victimhood in every possible corner of the human psyche and demand that their hyper-sensitivities be given precedence over every other aspect of human social interaction.
Far-right evangelical dullards tell themselves the world is conspiring against their infantile brand of Christian mythology, while pallid sociopaths living in their bedrooms scream on various unsavory chatrooms that they are the victims of female emancipation and thereby doomed to a life of celibacy. Halfwits eagerly stroking the barrels of their carbines and shotguns claim to be victims of a lib’rul conspiracy to take away their guns and bibles (but, at least not yet, their driving whiskey).
And on the lefty-trendy side of the spectrum, things are even more asinine.
