The real problem is that people are simple-minded because the human brain is not adapted to perform on a regular basis anything approaching real thinking. Thus people use soundbites, memes, and whatever else happens to be floating on the stream of contemporary culture as shortcuts to life. Of course, many are (i) entirely spurious, or (ii) not applicable to a particular situation.
The solution is for people to utilize something we in the old days used to call "good manners" whereby we treat others in a civil fashion but remain aware of the fact we don't really know them in depth and have little context by means of which to evaluate them.
Unfortunately in today's wokist babbling world, jumping to conclusions and seeing the worst is the easiest option so that is generally what people will do.
