The Trump-Hitler analogy isn't really very accurate. Hitler was physically courageous and though not particularly intelligent did have at least a functioning frontal cortex. Trump is a petulant whining infantile sack of orange pus who dodged the draft with imaginary bone spurs and who's frightened of nearly everything. The real tragedy of the USA is that it collapsed instantly regardless of the fact Trump is a moron and a senile buffoon. If we want comparisons, imagining an impotent senile Mussolini would be closer to the mark. We have to accept that 43 million voters were so stupid and morally vacuous that they adore the orange cretin because he is the same as they are. And we have to accept that since Reagan the Republican Party has been interested only in power for its own sake regardless of the consequences. Trump was merely the straw that broke the camel's back.
