There are far larger problems for EV adoption that those already cited in this article. First of all, EVs only make sense from an environmental perspective if they draw clean electricity. Sadly, most countries still generate much of their power via hydrocarbons. So EVs don't help reduce CO2 emissions, especially when we factor in the fact EVs are actually more polluting to manufacture than conventional vehicles. The next enormous problem is that a lot of people don't have private places to park their vehicles and thus charging becomes a very problematic issue. Millions of people are affected by this problem in most European countries. It seems politicians, who doubtless occupy rather nice homes themselves, have given no thought to this problem whatsoever. So you could buy an EV and then.... watch as it becomes an immobile lump of metal and plastic because you have nowhere practical to charge it.
