There are very few people in the world able to reason from facts. Your article was heartfelt, well written, and essentially the cry of someone whose intelligence slams up hard against the lack thereof in others. We have to keep trying to be reasonable, but there's precious little chance of seeing that reasonableness spread. Eons of necessary selection pressure would be required for such a trait to be strongly conserved within our species.
