There is a common misapprehension about NATO's Article V. It merely says that member states will "aid" another member if that member is attacked. "Aid" is not defined. Germany could send 10 medkits and that would fulfil its obligation. NATO is, sadly, a joke. It has precisely zero capacity to fight a high-intensity war, which is exactly what fighting Russia would entail. Moreover, although NATO can pretend to mount an exercise, it has zero capacity to respond to a realtime threat. By the time Russian forces are in Riga, NATO "leaders" and the politicians who act as a deadweight will still be arguing over what wine to order with their Crisis Meeting lunch. Russia is weak, but we are much weaker even though we should - and could - be so much stronger. Civilizations always rot from within, and the stench of our internal rot is overwhelming.
