There seem to be several factors involved in creating sexual repression and all the neuroses that inevitably accompany this unfortunate condition, but it's clear that the USA has managed to be not only horribly warped in itself but also to export this sad state of affairs through its entertainment industry. In nations like gloomy little Britain, many young people now find it very difficult to cope with sexuality. A toxic combination of wokist PC nonsense (which is invariably sexual repression dressed up as a struggle for freedom) and ghastly Hollywood trash has left many young Brits disconnected from their sexual selves.

Violence, whether in the form of vile video games or repellent Hollywood by-the-numbers mental trash, has persuaded young people that shooting, stabbing, punching, kicking, blowing up, and otherwise maiming and killing people is excellent, but affection and physical intimacy are frightening and to be avoided at all costs.

Any sane society would (a) ban all religionist posturing on the topic, (b) ban all PC posturing, and (c) shut down Hollywood and its ilk. That would at least be a small beginning. But as it's never going to happen we must accept the fact that the work ahead will be to help millions of young people whose notions of sexuality have been warped by popular culture, in the hope they can reclaim at least some small part of what should have been the full range of normal sexual impulses and behaviors.
