There's a prevalent belief among Politically Correct wokists that the answer to everything is censorship, as if by re-imagining the past we can improve the present and save the future. In reality, ignoring the lessons of history always results in similar outcomes down the road because no one sees the warning signs. Instead of vainly attempting to create "safe spaces" and fretting endlessly about imaginary "micro-aggressions" we need to recognize that there are always people among us who gravitate toward less salubrious notions. We should learn how powerful propaganda of all types truly is. We should look at the past clearly, without excising anything in the name of some spurious and transiently fashionable lefty-trendy ideology (which itself is mere fascism dressed up as "social responsibility"). It is right that we should be disgusted by the early Tintin stories - and right that we should be aware of them and understand the mileau in which they seemed so acceptable to so many.
