There's very little point in creating some amorphous enemy such as "the elite" (conveniently undefined) or "the patriarchy" or "capitalism" because one cannot combat something that doesn't exist. Bush's infantile "war on drugs" was a classic example of declaring as Enemy #1 an abstraction. So it's a shame to see the same problem here, because it automatically precludes any meaningful action, but simply encourages impotent anger.
