This article misses the point entirely. There is precisely zero value in attempting to talk to any "good Russians" because it's only Putin and a tiny number of his closest thug-friends who make decisions in Russia. Even if 99% of all Russian citizens were anti-invasion and eager to talk to the "useful idiots" of the West about peace, the reality is that Ukraine would still be being smashed to pieces by Russian artillery, drones, and rockets.

It's depressing to watch the many ways in which people run away from the most obvious problem in order to self-sooth with pointless babble.

Putin will ultimately win in Ukraine despite the pathetic inadequacy of Russian military forces, because the West is too flabby, intellectually feeble, and self-deluding to mount any serious opposition.
