This is a misreading of history. When we look at the facts we see that nearly all humans nearly all of the time have been (and continue to be) ruled by tyrants. The very brief interludes do not in any way justify Ghandi's myth-making. We need to be careful not to fall into the trap of wishful thinking, because then we fail to act appropriately in the face of existential threat - as the West is now failing in Ukraine and will fail with Taiwan.
