This is a wonderfully stupid article that proves beyond all doubt that many humans lack even the most rudimentary capacity for reasoning. The idea that appeasement will save us from nuclear war is as unintentionally amusing as the idea that eating a diet of McSlop burgers will save us from obesity.

In reality (a place with which the author appears to have had negligible contact) appeasement always leads to escalation because it teaches the aggressor that aggression pays off. And so "negotiating" with Russia - e.g. appeasement - will actually increase the (tiny) risk of nuclear war whereas crushing Russia will eliminate the risk entirely. Sadly, no Western leader seems capable of performing the thinking necessary to arrive at this conclusion, and so in all probability Putin will cling on in Ukraine until the orange moron Trump waddles back into the US White House in January 2025 and thereafter hands Ukraine to Putin on a plate. This will dramatically increase the probability of war in Europe, as Russia rearms as quickly as possible so as to take the Baltic nations and Poland arms as quickly as possible in order to defend itself (NATO having zero credibility at this point).

As is always the case, giving an aggressor what they want merely encourages them to want more. History is absolutely unambiguous on this point - so perhaps reading a little history should be on this author's to-do list?
