This is not a very good piece of trolling, repeating as it does already discredited notions of NATO perfidy. The reality is that it was not NATO forcing itself on the Baltic nations etc. that resulted in them signing up - it was their fear that a resurgent Russia would once again invade them. This fear was entirely justified, as Putin's kleptomaniac regime has persistently sought foreign adventurism as the sole means of shoring up support for his incompetent regime.
