This is precisely the sort of thing that we need far less of: a clickbait article making a spurious assertion supported by the flimsiest possible evidence.
In reality, thoughts cannot in any way influence robots of any sort. The "experiments" cited in the article are non-reproducible (e.g. the results were spurious, arising from extremely poor experimental design and misleading presentation of results).
When a supposed "experiment" produces results for which basically all of physics would have to be overturned, we should not be instantly credulous but rather deeply skeptical. And the more unlikely the claim, the higher the bar is set for standards of proof. Rubbish "experiments" do not qualify as proof of anything except how poorly-trained some researchers happen to be.
In short, this kind of clickbait article does everyone a great disservice.
