Thomas, I genuinely can’t determine whether your article is satirical or not. It’s written with such wide-eyed naivete that it reads as a straight but unintentionally funny piece. I’m hoping it is satire, because if not then I worry that you’ve not really understood how pointless and annoying chatbots can be; furthermore the use of AI/bots in screening resumes etc. is one of the reasons companies reliably end up hiring inappropriate candidates via a dysfunctional process.
Bottom line: the average person hates chatbots for very good reasons, and while DNNs will undoubtedly improve over time, the entire concept is deeply flawed. No bot can provide an “authentic” experience any more than a shop mannequin can provide “real human companionship.”
