Too many well-meaning articles have been written by authors who do not have any knowledge of Russian core military doctrine, and who therefore form their opinions on the ignorant outpourings of sensation-seeking journalists who are equally ignorant. In reality, Putin's invasion of Ukraine is unfolding pretty much on schedule and according to very predictable standard operating procedures - up to and including the use of nuclear threats.

The fact is, the West is sitting passively while Ukraine is shattered, pretending that sanctions are a viable substitute to force. In reality, Putin is winning this war even as he is destroying Russia in the process.
