True — for every Einstein accepting Le Maitre’s conclusions there’s a Hoyle resisting to the very end, hence Planck’s famous dictum that science progresses one funeral at a time. But I think we have some hope of training more cognitively capable people in habits of greater mental flexibility whereas I don’t think there’s any realistic hope of similarly aiding less capable people.
