Tweedledee And Tweedledum
Why the temper-tantrum between the two obese narcissists Musk and Trump was inevitable, and the implications for every oligarch in the USA
The words are well-known to anyone who’s read Dodgson’s classic Alice in Wonderland: “Tweedledum and Tweedledee Agreed to have a battle; For Tweedledum said Tweedledee had spoiled his nice new rattle.”
Our modern equivalent, TweedleMusk and TweedleDumber, have recently been enjoying news coverage of their little temper-tantrum, which is nothing more than a well-publicized version of two spoiled four-year-old rich brats squealing over who ruined the birthday cake (answer: they both did). The falling-out was inevitable (indeed, I predicted it in multiple articles here on Medium from December 2024 onward) because the two creatures are nearly identical and thus have the same fundamental weaknesses.
Both Musk and Trump are where they are today only because both had parents who created wealth and thus gave their sons positions of advantage that even gross narcissism and incompetence couldn’t undermine. Trump, as we all know, is a serial bankrupt and a man so totally stupid that he’s the only person in all of human history to lose money owning a casino — and not merely once, but twice.
