We all have to cheer because the USA is a democracy and democracy is always good, no matter how awful the actual outcomes tend to be. So war with Iran will be democratic and therefore good, no matter how awful the actual outcome may be.

Or maybe we should start to re-think our absurd attachment to representative democracy now that it’s given us the great glorious wonders of Trump, Brexit, Bolsonaro, Erdogan, Putin, Duterte, Orban, Babis….
