Well, aside from the fact that we all know there's no such things as gods, goblins, and ghosts (though there are ghouls, mostly in the Republican Party) we can also say that most people are basically not too bad. It's just that most people should be put at the back of the class where they can play with glitter glue and safety scissors and kept away from anything more potentially harmful. Ordinary people can lead pleasant lives, but letting them stand for office based on possessing no qualification other than the ability to bluster and lie is a bit silly. Letting ordinary people vote when their heads are empty except for trivia about ephemeral entertainments is a bit silly. If we didn't have representative democracy, we wouldn't have the Trumps of this world. And we don't need imaginary gods to solve our self-created problem, either.
