Well, it all sounds lovely except for a few boring facts. First of all, most of the technology is totally unproven, which means the real cost of implementing a hyperloop would certainly by far, far higher than projected. Musk is notoriously bad at budgeting. Secondly, long-distance travel isn’t the real problem: the problem is commuting. And we can solve this problem by letting people work at home, which is a cost-free solution.
So in the end Hyperloop is just another Musk distraction and another way of burning up billions to no real effect.
