While I concur that Starmer is a failed leader, basically copying Tory policy and then adding 5% more )as if this would make any difference in his appeal) I can't help but notice all ideas of "solidarity with the working class" are hopelessly out of touch with reality. We are no longer in the 1950s and there is no longer a "working class" per se. Hence Labour really needs to reinvent itself (Blair tried, but one can quibble with his vision) instead of running away into nostalgia and even more self-delusion.
