While I concur that Western aid to Ukraine has been pathetically inadequate, I see no signs of any Western politician developing a spine. Therefore the present impasse will continue and tens of thousands more Ukrainians will die needlessly. Putin may eventually succeed in installing a puppet regime in Kyiv merely because he out-lasts our flabby feeble short attention span. There is no chance at all of NATO doing anything purposeful, and so the Baltic states are already preparing for the next round of Russian aggression, knowing that Article Five is a hollow joke.
