While I earnestly yearn for Russia's complete defeat, thus opening the way to regime change in Russia (which will either lead to a less totalitarian regime or to complete collapse followed by fragmentation) I think it's unwise to imagine the recent regaining of territory by Ukrainian forces as an indication that Russian forces will soon be driven out of the nation they've successively invaded since 2014. Western support for Ukraine has always been too little, too late, and with winter coming Zelensky is already under huge pressure from spineless European politicians to "negotiate" with Putin - e.g. surrender most of what Russia still holds in the hope that Putin will then let Europe return to its full-on addiction to Russian hydrocarbons. There's a long road ahead, and European pussilanimity does not bode well for Ukraine's future.
