While it would be comforting to believe that Trump is basically just obeying Putin's orders to destroy the USA as quickly as possible, the reality is more prosaic: he's a moron and the entire US Republican Party is now just Loony Tunes and vermin. Rome didn't fall because the Goths were able to turn Emperors into assets; Rome fell because everyone was complacent and the Emperors were morons. Almost all of human history is the result of generic human stupidity, and there's not much that's more stupid than a system of governance that lets morons vote for morons who babble moronic toxic lies. So the USA is finished, the West is over, and the next Age of Tyrants has already commenced.
