While it's obvious to everyone that the USA is supremely dysfunctional, the assumption that lockdown is a proper response to covid-19 without which millions will die is entirely unsupported by facts. It seems Umair is too ready to be Politically Correct in his perpetual critique of the USA and thus falls into the same kind of error (unreason) he decries in the USA. Although it's easy to be stampeded into mass hysteria by sensationalist media reportage, Sweden and the Netherlands show clearly that destroying the global economy and sending 1.5 billion people into abject poverty was just as stupid as anything Trump has done over the last 3 years. And that's saying something, because Trump is clearly the most stupid, ignorant, and infantile President in US history and unfit for any public office whatsoever.
