While the argument presented in this article is logically consistent, ordinary people in general lack the cognitive abilities required to handle logical consistency. Ordinary people live in a kind of mental fog and are unable to process information coherently. This is why ordinary people believe in karma, invisible magical pixies, souls, destiny, and all manner of other simple-minded babble. Those who understand that "what's the meaning of life" is as valid a question as "what's the meaning of yellow" already know that the question is empty. Those who do not understand this lack the capacity to acquire such understanding - as the comments below show with depressing clarity.
