While Ukraine continues to innovate and strike where it can, the clock is ticking. When the US Republican Party takes control of the Congress in a couple of weeks, aid to Ukraine will be cut dramatically. As Europe is incapable of any meaningful assistance, this means Ukraine's capacity to continue resisting Russian aggression will be slashed. Moreover, with Russia explicitly targeting civilian infrastructure, millions of Ukrainians will suffer from extreme cold and shortages of water in the months ahead.

Meanwhile, flabby complacent self-centered Europeans will squeal about high energy prices yet be unwilling to take action to address the real cause. Instead, Europeans will squawk about how unfair it all is, and talk about "a negotiated peace" which in reality of course simply means sacrificing Ukrainians to Putin's death machine in return for a little more Russian oil and gas.

We've been here before: appeasement was very popular in the 1930s, except of course for those who were signed over to Hitler's death-oriented regime. History once again repeats itself, and for precisely the same reasons: fat complacent people sacrificing others so as to avoid minor hardships at home.
